This past Friday, on the 18th of September, members of the Sapien Wallet team attended the BlockchainUA 2020 conference at the Oasis Concert Hall in Kyiv, Ukraine. Not only did we come as guests, but we also came as contributors setting up our very own booth.
This event was a great success for the Sapien Wallet team and for the project. The goal of attending this event for us was to network with local and international blockchain enthusiasts and experts, pitch our ideas to interested parties, and receive feedback about our goals and technology.
It was due to the sociable and welcoming nature of Sergey Lysyuk, Max Hil, and Nick Bain that many conference-goers sought conversation at the Sapien Wallet booth. There, the team was able to share our ideas and we received positive feedback across the board regarding the innovations we have added to the humble light wallet. Namely, this was the distributed Human Rating platform, which has become one of the sole focuses of the Sapien Wallet project.
Since the crypto and blockchain industry has been plagued with scams and bad actors for quite some time now, many people believed that a tool such as the Sapien Rating Protocol was needed. People want a tool to be able to weed out bad actors and have a basis in which to make judgments and decisions regarding someone’s credibility. We were extremely pleased to hear this feedback from those who are involved in this industry because it reinforces the need for our technology.
The Sapien Wallet booth also showcased a demo of the Sapien Wallet application, it was much to our pleasant surprise that attendees commented on the user-friendliness of our application. Again, this was more reinforcement that we were on the right track.
Furthermore, our founder and CEO Sergey Lysyuk gave a short interview to Cryptodealers. In it, he gave his opinions on many things including bitcoin, the blockchain industry as a whole and the new, up and coming DeFi industry. We believe that it is important for any existing blockchain or crypto-based business to have a strong real-life presence, otherwise, it is very easy for people to dismiss your organization as a scam.
Overall, it was a fun and insightful event that was hosted by the BlockchainUA organization. We are happy to see that, despite the ongoing global pandemic local blockchain enthusiasts were able to come together and share ideas.
As a bonus, Sapien Wallet even handed out masks, as we believe that it is wise to be cautious in time when people are still vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus. We hope to see all interested members and enthusiasts whenever we can, after all the backbone of the blockchain and crypto industry is community.
Stay safe.
